WHO WE ARE
Created in 1985, we were originally called “The
Alcoholism Clinic”
and now we are often referred to as “The Hamden Clinic”. Six years
later, in 1991, the clinic merged with the county’s Drug Abuse
Agency to form the current facility.
We are a medically supervised addictions outpatient treatment
program serving the needs of all those whose lives have been
affected by the abuse of alcohol and/or drugs.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe addiction is a
primary illness that is chronic, progressive, and potentially fatal,
if left untreated.
We believe recovery begins with changes in thinking and behavior. It
involves growth in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual spheres
of life. |
