“RU OK” is an telephone reassurance program that
ensures contact with participants who live alone at a
predetermined day and time to check on their welfare.
It is offered free of charge to the citizens of Delaware County.
This is how it works:

A Dispatcher checks in
on the participants by placing a telephone call to them at a
pre-scheduled time.

If the phone call is
not answered, a second call is placed.

If the second call is
unanswered, an Officer is dispatched to the participant's
location to assure that they are OK and not in need of
assistance or help.
If you are interested in
participating in this program, please fill out the RU Okay
Application Form and submit it to the Sheriff’s Office.
