Richard Gerace was hired on 9/4/2012 as a Social Services Program Specialist Trainee, his training period ended on 9/3/2013.  Due to his perseverance, dedication and willingness to learn, he was promoted on 9/12/2016, to Social Services Investigator.

Richard is part of a team of three who are responsible for investigation allegations of welfare fraud. Their mission is to eliminate welfare fraud in Delaware County, and as a result, maintain the integrity of programs that provide assistance to our most vulnerable neighbors.

Richard is a self-starter and hard worker.  He has a pleasant demeanor, maintains a positive attitude and is well-respected by his colleagues.

Richard likes the human element of his job, interacting with clients, employers and others. He likes educating people in need of what options for assistance they may have.  He enjoys working with the entire DSS team.

Richard and his wife Nicole have two daughters Brooke and Autumn and a cat named Mikey.

Richard enjoys running and watching sports such as baseball and football.
