Scott
Lambrecht was hired by the Delaware County Department of Public
Works as a Motor Equipment Operator on July 11, 2005. Scott came to
DPW with a Class B driving permit. On June 4, 2007, he was promoted
to Heavy Equipment Operator. In order to be promoted to an HEO, DPW
requires a Class B driver’s license. Through training and
experience Scott has taken the initiative to earn not only a Class
B, but a Class A driver’s license. He has also just upgraded his
driver’s license to include a tank endorsement.
Scott is
assigned to the Sidney Center Patrol and is called upon whenever DPW
needs equipment moved with the truck and beavertail or the tractor
trailer. He is very diligent in everything he does and is always
eager to take on any responsibility that comes his way. Scott is
willing to work whatever hours it takes to get the job done. When
Scott receives an assignment, you know that it will be done and done
right. Scott especially likes the many opportunities there is to
learn and operate equipment.
After
super storm Sandy, the Department of Environmental Protection
requested volunteers to help with the cleanup in New York City.
Scott cut his vacation short in order to go and help. At the time,
he had no details of what he would be doing and no idea of what he
would be getting into. He and his fellow employee, Tim Cobane, were
great representatives of the Delaware County Department of Public
Works. The DEP was so impressed by the work ethic of these two
employees they specifically requested that both return the following
week with the second round of volunteers.
Scott
enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife Rebecca and
son Caidyn.
Congratulations, Scott, for a job well done.
