Lisa started working for Public Health in
2004 as a Medical Records Clerk. Prior to working at Public Health,
Lisa worked at the Countryside Care Center for 17 years as a
Certified Nurses Aide, Medical Records Clerk and Stock Clerk.
Lisa has multiple responsibilities as the
Public Health Department’s Medical Records Clerk and is very
efficient at her job. In addition to Medical Records, Lisa keeps an
excellent inventory on all of the department’s medical supplies,
ensuring that necessary supplies are on hand at all times. When
supplies are low, she will make sure that the supplies are ordered
immediately. Typical comments from the Public Health Nurses are
“She is very helpful” and “Lisa will immediately stop whatever she
is doing to assist in locating medical supplies in the clinic room.”
Lisa also helps arrange servicing of County
vehicles at the County garage. The Public Health Supervisors,
Nursing and Home Health Aide staff are very grateful to Lisa for
this assistance, which includes arranging transportation for
delivery and pick-up of the vehicles.
One of Lisa’s main responsibilities is to
review all of the Certified Home Health Agency discharge medical
records for completeness and accuracy, in both the nursing and
billing charts. In the past month, Lisa assisted the Medical Auditor
in gathering and copying 60 Medical Records for an audit conducted
by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her son and
immediate family. Lisa is very energetic. Many nights immediately
following her full time job at Public Health she will leave to work
part time in the deli at a local grocery store. Her hobbies include
gardening (vegetable and flower), canning, and crafts.
Lisa, congratulations as Employee of the
Month!
