behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization & reprocessing and
motivational interviewing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) -
teaches thought challenging skills that correct inaccurate,
dysfunctional beliefs that interfere with goal directed activities.
CBT also teaches better communication and problem solving skills,
providing clients with necessary tools to achieve their goals.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - is a
cognitive behavioral treatment approach that emphasizes balancing
behavioral change, problem solving and emotional regulation with
validation, mindfulness and acceptance.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
- reduces trauma related stress, anxiety and depression associated
with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder to decrease debilitating symptoms
and improve overall mental health functioning.
Motivational Interviewing - is a goal
directed and client centered counseling style that leads to
behavioral change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. |
